Dear Sports Enthusiasts,
The municipality of Baiersbronn is already looking forward to the 7th Nordic
Ski World Championship for the Disabled, to be held here from 07. 15.
February 2003. Baiersbronn is a popular tourist destination in the Black
Forest, home to about 16,500 residents and registering approx. 1 million
overnight stays per year.
This internationally important sporting event will once more make Baiersbronn,
a renowned winter sports venue, the focal point and meeting place for sportsmen
and women, their responsible persons plus guests and spectators. As always, our Buhlbach
course is available for these World Championship, helping once more to draw
the attention of athletes and visitors alike to the beauty of our landscape
and our municipality.
The municipality of Baiersbronn is very proud and pleased that the IPC has
placed the organization of these World Championship in the hands of our
very active local Mitteltal-Obertal Sports Association. Even this far in
advance, we would like to wish all the athletes and carers a fair and successful
competition, and wish all our spectators and guests a pleasant, exciting
but restful stay in lovely Baiersbronn.
