Dear Sports Enthusiasts,
We, the Mitteltal-Obertal Sports Association, are delighted to have been
asked to organize the 7th Nordic Ski World Championship for the Disabled
in 2003. The trust placed in us and therefore in our helpers is due to the
many successful events we have staged in the past in the field of sports
for the disabled and in ski sports in general, both at national and (particularly)
international level.
To date, our association’s high point was its involvement in the 1993 European
Nordic Ski Championship for the Disabled. Repeating the success of what
for many was an unforgettable European Championship contest will be quite
a challenge for all those in charge and their helpers. But we intend to
meet this challenge and hope that the 2003 World championship will be an
exciting experience for all concerned.
Under the motto “More than a World Championship” we are providing a special
program of extra events intended to bring the sporting contributions of
our disabled athletes closer to the public at large.
