Dear Sports Enthusiasts,
Ski sports have obtained a recognised place in the sporting calendar and quite rightly so. It is not only the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City which has brought these fascinating sports to the attention of the public, but also the intense commitment of all the sportsmen and women of the ski team.
It is the organizers, in particular, which I would like to take this occasion
to thank for their willingness to take on such a challenge. I am sure that
the 2003 Nordic Ski World championship for the Disabled, to be held in
Baiersbronn, will be a memorable sporting success thanks to your input.
The 1993 European championship you organized were already a great success.
I hope you will be able to build on it. Your motto for the 2003 World championship
“More than a World Championship” already provides grounds for optimism.
